ISTANA NURUL IMAN, Saturday 28 May 2018 – His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to confer honorary medals in conjunction with His Majesty 71st Birthday Celebration at an Investiture Ceremony held at Balai Singgahsana Indera Kencana, Istana Nurul Iman.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan as personal representative of His Majesty presented the honorary medals in recognition for their long and faithful services as well as contribution to the state.
Present at the ceremony was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik. Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Chateria, Cabinet Ministers, Legislative Council Members, Deputy Ministers and Manteri-Manteri Pedalaman, Foreign Diplomats and High Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Senior Government Officers, Penghulus and Ketua Kampong.
The medals were presented to 15 RBN personnel in categories as follows – Meritorious Service Medal (PJK) to 2 recipients, Excellent Service Medal (PIKB) to 10 recipients and Medal of the National Hero (PP) to 3 recipients.
