Muara Naval Base, Thursday, 10 May 2018 – The Participants of 11th Induction Programme Course for Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) visit Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) as part of their introduction. The group consisted of thirty MINDEF civilian participants led by MINDEF Supervisor Officer, Awang Khairun bin Shabuddin.
Present to welcoming the participants was Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Chief of Staff. The participants were then given a brief on the roles of RBN by Staff Officer Grade 3 Security, Lieutenant Junior Grade Muhammad Hamizan bin Haji Zaidin, RBN. At the end of the presentation, a short video illustrating RBN’s achievements during the last 50 years.
The highlight of the visit was the discussion session, which gave the participants opportunity to get further insights and a better understanding of RBN.
A tour on board KDB DARULEHSAN was also part of the visit where participants have the opportunity to get close understanding of how RBN personnel operate a ship. The ship tour also gives an insight of the working environment as part of their appreciation toward RBN personnel in protecting Brunei maritime waters.
