MUARA, Setia Ali Mosque, Tuesday 15th July 2014, 17 Ramadhan 1435H – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty’s Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah Sultan Yang Dipertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 68th birthday celebration.Due to renovation taking place at the RBN’s surau, the ceremony took place at the Setia Ali Mosque, Serasa. The ceremony started with a mass Zuhur prayer together with civilians. A Sunnat Hajat prayer was also performed proceeded with the recital of Surah Yassin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran by Mohd Fauzi bin Hj Anuar, Imam of Setia Ali Mosque. A total of 300 personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy attended the ceremony.
Present as the guest of honor was RBN’s Base Commander, 351 Lt Col (L) Zainorin bin Zainal Abidin. Also present at the ceremony was 504 Maj (L) Mohd Bahrin bin Md Yusof, the Commanding Officer of KDB IJHTIHAD as the chairman of the ceremony and 866 Lt (L) Mohd Husaini bin Hj Mohd Sofian, Navigation Officer of KDB IJHTIHAD as the deputy chairman.
