BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday 21 December 2017 - The Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) is currently involved in the search for one missing person after a water taxi carrying two passengers capsized in the capital on Wednesday morning.
The incident took place around 6.30am when the boat overturned after clashing with a steel beam. The two male passengers were rescued and transported to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the water taxi operator aged 66 years old is still missing.
RBN’s NAVSAG is supporting the Brunei Fire and Rescue Department; the Marine Police, Royal Brunei Police Force; and the Maritime Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam in the search and rescue operation.
