MUARA, Friday, 1 September 2017 - Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held recitations of the Takbir Hari Raya at Surau Al-Huda, RBN in the start of Hari Raya’ Aidil Adha. The ceremony was attended by officers and personnel of RBN who performed mass Isya prayers followed by the sounds of the Takbir Hari Raya ‘Aidil Adha.
As a sign of gratitude to Allah (SWT), the recitation of the takbir commenced from the 10th day of Zulhijjah and will end after the end of the Tasyriq days, the 13th day of Zulhijjah every year.
The event then followed by Solat Sunat Hari Raya on the next day Saturday, 2 September 2017 held at Surau Al-Huda, RBN. The ceremony was attended by officers, RBN personnel and civillians followed by sound of the Takbir Hari Raya Aidil Adha. Upon completion, sermon was delivered focusing on good deeds to parents and noble sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim AS and Prophet Ismail AS.
