MUARA NAVAL BASE, Monday 30 May 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a thanksgiving event in conjunction with Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 55th Anniversary at the RBN Surau, Muara Camp.
The Guest of Honour for the event was Commander Shamsul Bahren bin Haji Taweh, Acting Fleet Commander of RBN. Also present were Senior Officers, Officers, and personnel from the Technical Engineering Maintenance Department (TEMD).
The event began with the recitation of Surah An-Naahl verse 90 – 95 of the Holy Quran by Lt JG Amirul Azwan bin Haji Dullah, Officer Under Training KDB DARULEHSAN.
Thereafter, the ceremony continued with the mass reading of Surah Yaasiin and followed by the recitation of the special prayer for the event and the congregational Isya’ Prayer.
The religious ceremony was intended to seek mercy and blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala. It also seeks all officers and personnel of the RBN to inculcate the Malay philosophy – Melayu Islam Beraja.
The same event was held throughout all Surau of RBAF in honouring the prestigious event for the nation.
