TUTONG, Wednesday, 1 November 2017 – 25 Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel headed by Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Nazrin bin Haji Sabli, Staff Officer Grade 2 Personnel & Administration, made a visit to Maraburong Prison Institution as part of to raise awareness among the RBN personnel. Present to greet the visit was Prison Institution Officer Haji Alidin bin Haji Ahmad.
The visit commenced with a brief presentation on the roles, organisational structure, mission and vision of Maraburong Prison Institute and ended with a question and answer section. RBN personnel also had the chance to tour the institution which includes a tour to the handicraft workshop.
They also had the opportunity to witness the demonstration of caning and to try out the various canes used on prisoners convicted under the civil and syariah courts.They concluded the visit with a photo session followed by presenting a plaque to the Maraburong Prison Institution Officer as an appreciation for the visit.
