TUTONG, Sunday, 4 February 2018 – A personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) 50364 Able Rate (AR) Raiezan bin Radimas, RBN and his family members recited their Islamic oath at a family member’s residence in Kampong Tasek Merimbun, Tutong, today.
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of RBAF.
Also present were First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, RBN Commander, Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, Member of the Legislative Council, Awang Haji Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer, and officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) from AR Raiezan, RBN and his family members, led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The Dikir Marhaban as well as the sprinkling of bunga rampai and gifts were presented by the Guest of Honour and invited guests to the new brothers and sisters in Islam.
Able Rate Raiezan bin Radimas, RBN, now known as Mohammad Nur Razin @ Raiezan bin Radimas, is the first RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 111th since 2006.
