MUARA, Tuesday, 28 July 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) Forum, bringing together JNCOs from across the RBN to strengthen leadership, enhance professional development, and reinforce the importance of discipline and operational readiness.
Present as the senior leadership representative was the Navy Sergeant Major (SMTL), Warrant Officer 1 Nasri bin Ladis. Also in attendance were the Sergeant Majors of the respective units, including the Fleet Sergeant Major (SMRA), Navy Training Sergeant Major (SMRLL), Regimental Police Sergeant Major (SMRP), Fleet Admin Supervisor (FAS), Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant (RQMS), Chief NAVSAG Superior, and ESM, together with JNCOs of the RBN.
The forum featured a panel discussion led by six Leading Hands, who shared their experiences and perspectives on the roles, responsibilities, challenges, and professional development of JNCOs. The interactive session also encouraged meaningful discussions and the exchange of ideas to further strengthen leadership and teamwork within the RBN. The forum aimed to reinforce the importance of effective duty management, maintaining the highest standards of discipline, and ensuring continuous operational readiness in the execution of responsibilities entrusted to every JNCO.
The forum concluded with an address by the Navy Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer 1 Nasri bin Ladis, who shared words of guidance and encouragement with the participants. The event also included the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to the six panel members in recognition of their valuable contributions towards the successful conduct of the forum.
