Muara Naval Base, Friday, 6th May 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrates another important date in the Islamic calendar. 27th Rejab, is a historic and significant date in the life of Muslims worldwide. As of the date was the occurrence of an event that brings blessings and affection to all mankind, the event of Isra’ and Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
In commemorating of the historic event of Isra’ and Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, a Fajr lecture session ‘Kuliah Subuh’ was held at the RBN Surau this morning.
The Guest of Honor for the event was the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. Also present were the Senior Officers, Officers as well as the enlisted personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The ceremony began with the congregation of Fajr prayers followed by the recital of Surah Al-Isra’ verse 13-19 of the Holy Quran by 18553 LsM Zuhdi bin Hj Wahid. The highlight of the event was the Kuliah Subuh by a guest speaker from Prison Department, Ustaz Fariszal bin Ali, with a topic ‘Importance of Praying’.
The guest speaker shared the story of the importance of ‘Istighfar’ and to meant it when saying, a minimum of ten times of ‘Istighfar’ is needed every day to remind us that every sins that we have done without noticing. He also took the opportunity to explain the importance of our five-time daily prayer. In the lecture, he iterated and reminded the listeners that prayers are one of the pillars of Islam and that it cannot be negotiated in any way. He reiterates, “Our five-time daily prayer is our top priority which must be conducted on time in order to get blessings from God for the hereafter life”.
The ceremony ended with a presentation of gift to the invited speaker by the Guest of Honor followed by Ratib Al-Attas.
