MUARA, Tuesday 30 May 2017 – In uplifting the practice of reciting the Holy Al-Quran among the officers and members of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the 56th Anniversary of RBAF was held this evening at the Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. The religious event that was held in commemoration of the RBAF 56th Anniversary celebration was to highlight the completion of reading the Holy Al-Quran by officers and personnel of RBN.
Present as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander RBN. Also in attendance were Senior Officers, Officers and enlisted personnel of RBN.
The event began with the congregational Zuhur prayers lead by RBN’s Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohammad, followed by the recital of the Holy Quran by all RBN personnel, Doa and Dikir Marhaban.
The ceremony was intended to encourage the RBN officers and personnel towards the importance of reading the Holy Al-Quran, at the same time to instil spiritual elements in officers and members of the RBN so that the duties and responsibilities entrusted on them are carried out diligently with full dedication while seeking the blessings of Allah S.W.T.
