COMMANDER OF ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY LEADS PARTICIPATION IN 5TH MULTILATERAL NAVAL EXERCISE KOMODO (5TH MNEK) AND 6TH INTERNATIONAL MARITIME SECURITY SYMPOSIUM (6TH IMSS) 2025
BALI, INDONESIA, 16 February 2025 – The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Haniwati binti Haji Bakar, led Brunei Darussalam’s participation in the Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) 2025 and the International Maritime Security Symposium (IMSS) 2025, further strengthening the nation’s role in regional maritime security and defence diplomacy.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY REPRESENTED AT THE 28TH INDO-PACIFIC NAVAL COLLEGE SEMINAR (IPNCS)
Tokyo, Monday, 03 February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) participated in the 28th Indo-Pacific Naval College Seminar (IPNCS), held from 3rd to 7th February 2025 at the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) Command and Staff College, Tokyo. Representing the Royal Brunei Navy was Commander Mohammad Faizal Ezam bin Haji Abas, Commandant of the Naval Training Centre, Royal Brunei Navy.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HOLDS DATE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY IN PREPARATION FOR RAMADHAN
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 12 February 2025 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a date distribution ceremony at Bilik Pahlawan, Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters, in observance of the holy month of Ramadhan. The dates, a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, were distributed as part of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) duty to deliver them to all Muslim personnel in conjunction with Ramadhan.
DISTRIBUTION OF DATES, PERSONAL GIFT FROM HIS MAJESTY THE SULTAN AND YANG DI-PERTUAN OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM TO ALL RBN PERSONNEL
MUARA NAVAL BASE, February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) conducted the Distribution of Dates Ceremony, a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in conjunction with the upcoming month of Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah/2025 Masihi. The ceremony was held at respective sub-units under RBN throughout Muara Naval Base.
2 ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY OFFICERS PARTICIPATED IN EXERCISE AMAN 2025
KARACHI, PAKISTAN – Friday, 7th February 2025 The 9th Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN 2025 officially commenced at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard, bringing together senior military officials from 60 participating navies, including the Pakistan Navy, along with observers, foreign diplomats, and a large contingent of Pakistan Navy personnel. Rear Admiral Abdul Munib, Commander of the Pakistan Fleet (COMPAK), attended as the Chief Guest. Representing the Royal Brunei Navy as observers were Lieutenant Commander Ahmad Zubair bin Abd Nasir, RBN, Principal Warfare Officer KDB AL-FARUQ, and Lieutenant Mahdini bin Sabli, RBN, Navigation Officer KDB AS-SIDDIQ.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HELD A DOA KESYUKURAN PRAYER IN CONJUNCTION WITH HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE CROWN PRINCE’S 51ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
SURAU AL-HUDA, Sunday, 16 February 2025 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Doa Kesyukuran prayer in conjunction with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, on the occasion of his 51st birthday celebration. The ceremonies were held simultaneously across all suraus in the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) camps, with the main event taking place at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison.
