FOREIGN FISHING TRAWLER APPREHENDED FOR ILLEGAL FISHING
MUARA, Sunday, 27 August 2017 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ship KDB DARUTTAQWA apprehended a foreign trawler conducting illegal fishing activities in Brunei waters, at approximately 30 nautical miles from the coast of Brunei Darussalam on Saturday, 26 August 2017.
RBN WELCOMED SEKOLAH MENENGAH PENGIRAN ANAK PUTERI HAJAH MASNA FOR A STUDY VISIT
Muara, Tuesday 9th August 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna for a study visit. The group consisted of ninety students and seven teachers led by Cikgu Kamariah binti Haji Kasah. The students chosen are part of the schools project focusing on rewarding students with exceptional attendance to attend working visits.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY (RBN) ATTENDED THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL MARITIME SECURITY SYMPOSIUM (IMSS) IN BALI, REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
BALI, 23 – 25 August 2017 - The Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, recently attended the 3rd International Maritime Security Symposium in Bali, Republic of Indonesia hosted by Indonesian Navy. The symposium was held on Wednesday, 23rd August until Friday, 25th August 2017.
RSS SUPREME (73) ARRIVED IN BRUNEI FOR EX PELICAN
Muara Naval Base, Wednesday 24 August 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) will commence their seven days bilateral exercise today. The exercise is code-named EXERCISE PELICAN 35/16. The objective of the exercise is to enhance force interoperability between both navies as well as to build and enhance the skills and knowledge of officers and crew with regards to naval aviation. The aims of this exercise are to enhance mutual understanding as well as to establish camaraderie of both navies. Concept of exercise for this year’s Exercise PELICAN focuses on a series of exercises with special regards to Naval Aviation.
