RBN RECEIVED STUDY TOUR FROM 49TH PAKSITAN NAVY STAFF COURSE
MUARA, Thursday, 5 March 2020 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today received foreign study visit from the 49th Pakistan Navy Staff Course. The group consist of 23 course participants, 5 foreign participants from China, Maldives, Sudan and Sri Lanka. During the visit, Commander Sony Iskandar bin Rasani, Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Navy welcomed the head of delegation, Commodore Masood Ul Hassan, Commandant Pakistan Navy Cadet College.
EXERCISE HORNBILL 27/19 CLOSING CEREMONY
KOTA KINABALU, SABAH, Wednesday, 03 March 2020 – Today marked the conclusion of Exercise HORNBILL 27/19, with the closing ceremony and deactivation of Task Group (TG) 27.1 at Kota Kinabalu Naval Base (KKNB), Sepangar Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
EXERCISE HORNBILL 27/19 OPENING CEREMONY
MUARA, Thursday 27 February 2020 – The opening ceremony of Exercise HORNBILL series 27/2019, between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), was conducted earlier this morning at the Naval Training Centre (NTC), RBN Base. Present as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Haji Suhaily, Commander RBN, who officiated the opening of the exercise and subsequently activated Task Group 27.1. Also present during the Opening Ceremony was Yang Berbahagia Vice Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Syed Zahrul Putra bin Syed Abdullah, Eastern Fleet Commander (EFC) RMN, Captain Norshahrinizam bin Haji Talib, Fleet Commander (FC) RBN, Colonel Kamarudzaman bin Mohd Thani, Malaysia Defence Adviser to Brunei, as well as officers, men and women from both navies.
WPNS IFR FINAL PLANNING CONFERENCE
MANILA, Thursday 27 February 2020 – The Final Planning Conference (FPC) of the 17th Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) and International Fleet Review 2020 (IFR) was conducted for two days on Wednesday, 26th February 2020 and Thursday, 27th February 2020, hosted by the Philippines Navy (PN) at the Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila, Philippines.
NATIONAL FLAG HOISTING CEREMONY TO MARK BRUNEI DARUSSALAM’S 36th NATIONAL DAY
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sunday, 16 February 2020 - The 36th National Day celebration began with a giant flag hoisting ceremony in the capital. The raising of the giant national flag was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
