MUARA, Wednesday 21 December 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed Language and Literature Bureau, Sengkurong District to a working visit. The group consisted of eighteen students and three support staff led by Muhd Hishamuddin bin Hj Latip, Support Staff Language and Literature Bureau, Sengkurong District. The visit is part of the Language and Literature Bureau’s program to expand knowledge on working environment with working visits.

 

The tour commenced at the auditorium, Naval Training School. The group was welcomed by 977 Lieutenant Junior Grade Muhammad Muizz bin Hj Md Jaini, RBN. This was followed by a short brief of RBN organisation which consisted of the roles, assets and missions abroad.

 

After the brief the students and support staff were brought to Jetty Bravo where the group were given a short tour on board KDB DARULEHSAN. The group was welcomed by the Communications Officer 950 Lieutenant Junior Grade Noor Masyhadi bin Dato Paduka Hj Hamzah, RBN who also gave a short brief of the ship. The group was divided into two sub groups and were given the liberty to tour the ship with the guide of the ship officers and crew. They were taken into the Ratings Mess, Rigid Inflatable Craft (RIC) deck, Foxcle, sickbay, engine room and bridge. At the end of the visit there was an exchange of mementoes and a group photo session. Overall, it was a brief experience of the working environment onboard a RBN ship.
