MUARA, Tuesday, 16 Dec 2014 – A doa kesyukuran ceremony was held onboard KBD DARULAMAN yesterday, marking the 3rd Anniversary of the ship’s commissioning date, which was on 12 December 2011 by His Majesty The Sultan Dan Yang DiPertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam.The event started with the recitation of doa led by the ship’s Communications Officer, Lt (L) Ak Saifullah bin Pg Abdullah. The event then continued on with remarks by the Commanding Officer, Lt Col (L) Muhammad Hadi Syarifuddin bin Hj Muhd Hassanal Mega.
In his remarks, he stated that KDB DARULAMAN has gone through much achievement throughout the three years of her service, namely being involved in deployments and exercises such as EX KAKADU held in Australia 2012, HADR assistance in Tacloban, Republic of Philippines in 2013 and EX RIMPAC held in Hawaii 2014. He added that the ship’s role has been of importance in consolidating Brunei’s maritime sovereingty and diplomacy, bearing Brunei Darussalam’s identity on the world map. All of those achievements would not be achieved without the cooperation and tireless effort given by the ship’s crew.
The event followed with the cake cutting ceremony with the first crew of KDB DARULAMAN and photo taking session along with all the ship’s crew.
