BERAKAS GARISON, Friday, 20 April 2018 – First Aid 01/2018 course for Officer, Other ranks and Civilian personnel of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ended today at Medical Services Training Wing, Combat Support Services (CSS) Royal Brunei Land Force, Berakas Garison. 15 personnel from RBN completed the course consequently awarded as a qualified First Aider for a period of 2 years.
The course was conducted by 17215 Sjn Haji Shahfaizal bin Hj Hamidon, Head Course Coordinator and Haji Shahrin bin Haji Ghafar, Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) of Medical Services Training Wing and other instructors started from 17 April 2018 until 20 April 2018.
The objective of this course is to understand the Chain of Survival and basic skills of life saving for different situation with the aim that when they get back to RBN or if they encountered any emergency situation, they will be equipped with First Aid knowledge.
The course consisted of 80 percent practical and 20 percent theory. The core subject consists of bandaging, CPR and battlefield First Aid
