Muara Camp, Saturday 30th April 2016 – National Family Day 2016 will be celebrated simultaneously tomorrow in four districts in the country with leading congregational Maghrib Prayer, Sunat Hajat prayers, recitation of Surah Ya Sin and the prayer of thanksgiving.
The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) also held Sunnat Prayer for National Family day at Surau Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei. This event was headed by Imam Zakaria bin Haji Jalin, Imam Surau TLDB that was conducted intended to seek mercy and blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala for RBN’s personnel and family health.
The event was attended by the Acting Chief of Staff of Royal Brunei Navy, Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, officers and Navy personnel of RBN with the event commenced with a congregational Maghrib Prayer. Thereafter, the ceremony continued with the mass reading of Surah Yaasiin and followed by the recitation of the special prayer for the event and the congregational Isya’ Prayer.
Starting in 2012, every first Sunday in May has been declared a National Family Day for Brunei Darussalam in recognition of the important role that strong family institutions and harmony in the formation of a society that is resilient and viable.
