MUARA, Monday, 13 November 2017 - The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad received a courtesy call from Captain Choi Sung-Hyeok, Commanding Officer of Republic of Korea Ship (ROKS) DAE JO YEONG.

The purpose of ROKS DAE JO YEONG visit here in Brunei Darussalam is also in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.

During the call, the Commander of RBN expressed his warm welcome for the goodwill visit of ROKS DAE JO YEONG and friendly defence relations between the two countries.

Both sides expressed their desire to further develop existing bilateral relationship between the two navies through cooperation. They highlighted the need to overcoming threats and also to improve stability in the region. This was also a great opportunity for both countries to plan ahead for future activites.

ROKS DAE JO YEONG is currently in Negara Brunei Darussalam from 10 November till 14 November 2017. The two navies will be involved in various interactions such as curry luncheon, professional exchange, sport interaction and Passage Exercise.
