MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 28 September 2016 – TODAY the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, conducted the Commander RBAF’s inspection at the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Base, which is conducted every 3 years.
The Commander RBAF’s arrival at the RBN Base was welcomed by the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad. Shortly after arrival, the Commander RBAF consented to receive the Honorary Salute and subsequently, inspected the Guard of Honour comprising of the RBN personnel and RBN band.
The inspection program started with a briefing on RBN’s current achievements and challenges, delivered by the Deputy Commander RBN, Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili at the Multinational Coordination Centre (MNCC). Also present at the briefing were the Joint Force Commander RBAF, Acting Head of RBAF Inspectorate Unit, Directors from Ministry of Defence and RBN senior officers. On completion, the Commander RBAF then toured the newly completed Naval Training Centre (NTC) building.
The Commander RBAF then inspected boarding preparation procedures on board KDB DARUTTAQWA and then continued on board KDB DARULEHSAN to inspect the Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) conducting the investigative boarding demo.
During the course of the inspection, the Commander RBAF also visited the RBN’s Weapons Workshop and Logistics Store Bravo.
The inspection was concluded with a debrief on the inspection at the RBN’s Officers Mess.
