Muara, Thursday, May 12th – The closing ceremony of the Leadership Course for Senior Ranks Acting Petty Officer Series 01/2016 was held at the Senior Rates Mess, Muara Naval Base.
The guest of honor was Commander Muhammad Hadi Syarifuddin bin Hj Muhammad Hassanal Mega, Commanding Officer of Naval Training Centre. Also present during the ceremony were invited RBN officers, Navy Sergeant Major, Instructors of Training Centre of the Royal Brunei Navy and Training Institute and the Senior Ranks.
A total of 30 participants attended the Senior NCO Leadership Course Series 01/2016 for the rank of acting Petty Officer which began on April 11, 2016 until May 12, 2016. It is a mandatory and generic course to Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for the acting Petty Officers in accordance with the structure and career development of RBAF. The course aims to build a Petty Officers with the ability and quality in leadership to contribute towards the organization’s operational goals.
The Best Overall Award won by Petty Officer 15611 Mohammad Hadi Zakwan bin Haji Muhammad Hassanal Mega, RBN. While Best Marching Award was held by 14746 Mohammad Ali Hanapiah bin Duraman. Best presentation was held by 13509 Mohd Ramaney bin Haji Othman and Best Syndicate is held by syndicate 2 of the course.
In the closing speech, the guest of honor urged the participants could benefit from lessons learned during the 5 weeks course as a quality leader. He also thanked the instructors who have ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the course. In addition congratulation speech to participants who successfully complete the course. The guest of honor also hit the gong to mark the completion of courses.
