MUARA, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 – Today Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the Navy Final Football Championships between the Navy ARMADA ‘A’ and the ARMADA ‘B’, at the RBN Mini Stadium, Muara Naval Base.The match ended with a 4-3 penalty shoot-out, ARMADA ‘B’ as a champion football game that afternoon. Fleet ‘A’ in turn held as a runner. While third place went to Base ‘A’ which has been defeated by the Fleet ‘B’ in the points 1-2 during the semifinals match.
This year Football Championship began on July 19, 2016 which uses the format ‘Double Knock Out’. The purpose of this competition is to identify potential new players to represent RBN for Royal Brunei Armed Forces championships for this year.
Teams participating in the Football Championship this year is the ARMADA ‘A’ ARMADA ‘B’, BASE A and BASE ‘B’.
Guest of honor for the final was, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi Pg Pg Hj Muhammad, the Commander of RBN, where he also presented the prizes to the winning teams.
