Muara, Wednesday, May 11th 2016 – The closing ceremony of the Specialist Coxswain Series 01/2016 and Comms Radio Supervisor Series 01/2016 were held at the Senior Rates Mess, Muara Naval Base.
The guest of honor was Commander Muhammad Hadi Syarifuddin bin Hj Muhammad Hassanal Mega, Commanding Officer of Naval Training Centre. Also present during the ceremony were invited RBN officers, Navy Sergeant Major, Instructors of Training Centre of the Royal Brunei Navy and Training Institute and the Senior Ranks.
A total of 10 participants attended the Specialist Coxswain Course Series 01/2016 and 8 participants from Comms Radio Supervisor Course Series 01/2016. Both courses began on March 07, 2016 until May 06, 2016. It is a mandatory and generic course to Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for Chief Petty Officers in accordance with the structure and career development of RBAF. The course aims to build a Chief Petty Officers with the ability and quality in specialist in ship handling and Comms Radio supervisor to contribute towards the Royal Brunei Navy organization’s operational goals.
In the closing speech, the guest of honor urged the participants could benefit from lessons learned during the 2 monthscourse as a quality Cheif Petty Officer in both fields . He also thanked the instructors who have ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the course. In addition congratulation speech to participants who successfully complete the course. The guest of honor also ring the bell to mark the completion of courses.
