Kiulap, Saturday 14 May 2016 – A total of 22 retired warrant officer and senior non-commissioned officers of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were celebrated with a Grand ceremony ‘Malam Jasamu di Kenang’ at the Grand Ballroom, Kiulap Plaza Hotel, Kampong Kiulap. This ceremony is to honor the devotion and sacrifice which retires contributed throughout their service serving the Royal Brunei Navy.
Arriving as the Guest of honor was the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi Bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad with spouse, Pengiran Datin Noralam binti Pengiran Hj Kahar welcomed by the Navy Sergeant Major (Nsm) Warrant Officer 1 Pengiran Mohammad Soffian Bin Pg Haji Matusin and President Mess Committee (PMC) Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers & Petty Officers Mess 10058 Warrant Officer 1 Haji Basrini Bin Hj Bongsu for a group photo and parchment signing .
Guest of honor and the invited guests were welcomed to enter the Banquet Hall to officiate the Appreciation dinner night.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and ‘Doa Selamat’ by 13007 Warrant Officer 2 Aliuddin Bin Haji Sarbini and then continued with speech from the PMC. In his speech, the PMC thanks to the all members of mess for their cooperation when he was the president of mess 2015- 2016.
Officer in charge (OIC) of Senior Rate mess 598 Kdr Mohd Faizal Ezam bin Haji Abas announce the next PMC 2016-2017 to the 11211 Warrant Officer 1 Mustapa Bin Haji Salleh Mohammad as the new PMC.
The Appreciation Night concluded with presenting a token of appreciation to the former warrant officer and senior non-commissioned officers of Royal Brunei Navy and also presenting a token to the guest of honor by the PMC.
