Muara, Tuesday, 3rd April 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed Public Relations Unit, Ministry of Defence for a working visit. The group consisted of 10 interns as well as staff led by 616 Lieutenant Commander Norharirayati binti Hj Yakob. The visit is part of the unit’s program to expose the interns and expand their knowledge on working environment of the RBN.

 

The tour commenced at the Maritime Technical School Meeting Room, Naval Training Center. The group was welcomed by 977 Lieutenant Muhammad Muizz bin Hj Md Jaini, RBN. This was followed by a short brief of RBN which consisted of the roles, assets and missions abroad.

 

After the brief the group were brought to Jetty Bravo where they had the opportunity to have a ship tour on board KDB DARUTTAQWA. On board the ship, the group were welcomed by the Commanding Officer KDB DARUTTAQWA, 702 Commander Rasman bin Puteh, RBN. The group were given the liberty to tour the ship with the guide of the ship officers and crew. They were taken into the Ratings Mess, Officers Mess, Rigid Inflatable Craft (RIC) deck, Foxcle, sickbay and bridge. At the end of the tour, there was an exchange of momentous at the RIC deck. Overall, it was a brief experience of the working environment on board a RBN ship.
