MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 22 July 2016 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) always takes great care of the well being of its personnel and members of their families, especially in social gatherings.
This morning, a ceremony for the presentation of donations to 92 special children of RBAF was held at the Officers’ Mess, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Base, in conjunction with the RBAF 55th Anniversary and also to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri ,
Present as the guest of honor was the Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih Bin Abdullah.
The cash donations from the RBAF Welfare Fund, Charities from RBAF 55th Anniversary, MS RBAF, Kowira as well as the contribution from BAKTI were presented by the guest of honour to the special children.
This event is one of the community activities held annually in conjunction with the anniversary of the RBAF as a demonstration of the care and concern for special children of RBAF as well as a commitment to the welfare of the community that needs assistance. This year the event was jointly held with the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
This contribution is hoped to give the motivation and encouragement in nurturing a caring community, especially in shaping the younger generation to become exemplary role models.
Present at the ceremony were the Services Commanders and Deputies, Directors, Commandants, officers of RBAF as well as parents, guardians and relatives of the special children.
