Muara, Tuesday 9th August 2016 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed Sekolah Menengah Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna for a study visit. The group consisted of ninety students and seven teachers led by Cikgu Kamariah binti Haji Kasah. The students chosen are part of the schools project focusing on rewarding students with exceptional attendance to attend working visits.
The tour commenced at the new auditorium, Naval Training Centre. The group was given a short brief of RBN which consisted of the roles, history, assets and missions abroad. The brief was presented by 15430 Petty Officer Ahmad Aidawardy bin Awang Abdul Rahman, RBN.
After the brief the students and teachers were brought to Jetty Bravo where the group were given a short tour on board KDB Darussalam and KDB Darulehsan. They were given the liberty to tour the ship with the guide of the ship officers and crew. They were taken into the Officers Mess, Engine Control Room, Senior Ratings Mess, Rigid Inflatable Craft deck, Foxcle, sickbay and Bridge. At the end of the visit students and teachers took a group photo at Jetty Bravo. Overall, it was a brief experience of the working environment onboard a RBN ship.
