BRUNEI MUARA, Monday 29 August 2016 – Rear Admiral (RADM) Lai Chung Han, Chief of Navy, Republic of Singapore Navy arrives in Brunei Darussalam for a two-day working visit in conjunction to the bilateral exercise between the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) dub “EX PELICAN 35/16”.
During the visit, RADM Lai Chung Han is expected to accompany His Excellency Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defence Republic of Singapore along with his delegations, His Excellency Dato Paduka Seri Perry Lim, Chief of Defence Force and His Excellency Ng Chee Khern, Permanent Secretary Defence Development during the royal audience on 30 August 2016 with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah idni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’asul Kahiri Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Istana Nurul Iman and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and General of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), at Qashr Al-Meezaan.
In addition, RADM Lai Chung Han will be making a call to First Admiral (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Minister of Defence RBAF, Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander RBAF, and First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi, Commander RBN.
RADM Lai Chung Han’s visit will further enhance the close and long-standing relations between RSN and RBN. The interaction will enhance the interoperability between both navies, and deepened the mutual understanding and people-to-people ties.
