MUARA, Tuesday 12 September 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed a Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) warship, RSS STALWART, at Jetty Bravo, RBN. The visit is the second for RSS STALWART, the first was during Brunei International Fleet Review in 2011. The ship was greeted upon arrival by officers and personnel of the RBN, lead by Lieutenant Commander Ade Roddiane bin Hj Md Rosdi, Commanding Officer of KDB SYAFAAT.
The 5-day visit of RSS STALWART to Brunei Darussalam starts from 12 to 16 September 2017. The ship is commanded by Senior Lieutenant Colonel Lim Kian Hua Augustine. The total number of personnel onboard is 86, consisting of 10 officers and 76 enlisted.
Senior Lieutenant Colonel Lim also made a courtesy call to First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN. During the call, the Commander of RBN expressed his warm welcome for the goodwill visit and friendly bilateral defence relations between the two countries. Both sides discussed to further strengthen bilateral relationship between two navies in the future.
The RSN warship, RSS STALWART, will conduct a Passage Exercise with KDB BERKAT, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 16th September 2017.
