Muara Base, Friday 13 February 2015 – Two promotion ceremonies was held separately at the Muara Naval Base today.
A promotion ceremony of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel was held at the Warrant Officer & Sergeant’s Mess, Muara Naval Base. Presenting the rank insignias to 53 RBN Personnel was the Royal Brunei Navy Commander, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz Haji Mohd Tamit.
The List of promoted is as follows: 5 personnel received acting Warrant Officer I, 3 personnel received acting Warrant Officer II, 21 personnel received acting Staff Sergeant and 24 personnel received acting Sergeant.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by the Religious Teacher of Royal Brunei Navy, Ustaz Muhammad Rafi’uddin Bin Haji Mohd Ali. Also present for the ceremony were RBN Senior Officers, Officers, NCOs and family members of the promoted personnel. The ceremony ended with a “Doa Selamat” by Ustaz Muhammad Rafi’uddin Bin Haji Mohd Ali and a light refreshment.
Concurrently, at the Multipurpose Hall, a promotion ceremony for the 16 Junior Non-Commissioned Officers (JNCOs) was held and presenting the rank insignias to the RBN JNCOs was the Deputy Commander RBN, Colonel (L) Pengiran Norazmi bin Pengiran Hj Muhammad. The ceremony ended with a “Doa Selamat” was read by Imam Surau RBN, Awg Zakaria bin Hj Jalin and a light refreshment.
