MUARA, Thursday, 08 March 2018 – The Occupational Health and Safety Supervisory (OHS) Course series 1/2018 was conducted by the Inspectorate Unit of RBAF and the Naval Inspectorate Cell, and concluded with a closing ceremony held at Nakhoda Hall, Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Present as a guest of honor was the RBN Head of Inspectorate Cell, Commander Hadi Syarifuddin bin Haji Muhd Hassanal Mega, RBN.
The course was attended by 17 personnel consisting of 10 personnel from RBN and 7 personnel from Technical Equipment Maintenance Division (TEMD) for three days from 6 till 8th March 2018. The instructor throughout the course was Pengiran Ali bin Pengiran Haji Metasan, the Chief Inspector/OHS Audit of RBAF Inspectorate Unit.
Guest of Honor stated during his speech that the course is important for all the participants to implement the OHS and to practice it at their workplace.
The objective of the course is to provide knowledge on the roles and responsibilities of the OHS Supervisor and also to understand the RBAF’s OHS Management system and policy. The expectation after the course is to enable all the participants to apply their knowledge that they gained during the course and implement into their respective workplace. The course also provides knowledge on hazard identification and control risk (Risk Assessment and Control Measure).
Also present were Officers, Heads of Departments, Head of Engineering Standards and Warrant Officer TLDB and Instructors from RBAF Inspectorate Unit.
