Muara, Sunday 23 November 2014 – KDB DARULEHSAN and KDB IJHTIHAD safely arrived in Brunei Darussalam after conducting a successful bilateral exercise with The Royal Malaysian Navy for Exercise Hornbill series 24/14 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
 
Present to receive the two participating ships was the Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Lt Col (L) Yusof Bin Masron, RBN senior officers and crew of RBN ships.
 
The Exercise Hornbill series 24/14 was officially deactivated yesterday in a closing ceremony attended by the Fleet Commander himself in the Submarine Force Headquarters, Kota Kinabalu.
 
It is an annual exercise aim to maintain the diplomatic relations between both navies and thoroughly improve and develop qualitatively.
 
The next Hornbill Exercise will take place next year and as expected, it will be hosted by the Royal Malaysian Navy.
