MUARA, Sunday, November 23, 2014 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) has received a goodwill visit from a French Navy warship VENDEMIAIRE FNS. Arrival of the vessel was greeted by the Officers of the Royal Brunei Navy which is led by Lt Col (L) Hadi Syarifuddin.The 5-day visit FNS VENDEMIAIRE in Brunei Darussalam from 23 to 27 November 2014. The 93.5m ship is commanded by Commander Hevre Sivret with a total number of 93 personnel which will depart on Thursday, 26 November 2014.
The purpose of this visit is to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two Navies which have long been established The French Navy also had the opportunity to show its ability in anti-terrorism operations and anti-drug operations.
While they were in Brunei Darussalam, its crew FNS VENDEMIAIRE had the opportunity to visit several attractions in the country, such as the Royal Regalia Building. Before they arrived in Brunei Darussalam, they have been visit Da Nang port in Vietnam and the next port will be Sepangar base in Malaysia.
