Hawaii, United States – 15 July 2014 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit made separate Courtesy Calls to the, Admiral Harry B. Harris and the Commander of the Third Fleet (COMTHIRDFLT) United States Navy, Vice Admiral Kenneth E. Floyd, who is the Commander of Combined Task Force (CCTF) RIMPAC for this year series.
 
The visits are aimed to strengthen the relationship and partnership of both countries and to extend the importance of defence cooperation and capacity building of both naval forces, during the calls, both sides had the opportunity to exchange views on the current development between both navies and to explore areas of naval cooperation.
 
Also present during the courtesy calls was Colonel (L) Zilhusam bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Brunei Darussalam Defence Attaché in the United States and Lieutenant Colonel (L) Mohammad Yusuf Masron, Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy and delegations are in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii to observe KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARULAMAN first joint combined multinational missile firing for Royal Brunei Navy as part of Exercise Rim of The Pacific (RIMPAC) 2014.
