MUARA, Tuesday, 10 October 2017 - The Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Hj Othman Bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN received a courtesy call from Rear Admiral Cheong Kwok Chien, the Fleet Commander, Republic of Singapore Navy.
During the call, the Acting Commander of RBN expressed his pleasure for the warm and friendly bilateral defence relations between the two countries. Both sides have actively participated in defence exhibitions, exercise and training, showing that both navies have the common interest in further strengthening RBN – RSN relationship. The discussions during the courtesy call also touched on development of training between both navies.
Rear Admiral Cheong became Fleet Commander of RSN on 12 August 2016, taking over from Rear Admiral Chuen Hong, the current Chief Navy of RSN.
