MUARA, Thursday, 12 October 2017 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed the Task Force of the Russian Pacific Fleet comprising RFS ADMIRAL VINOGRADOV, RFS ADMIRAL PANTELEEV and RFS BORIS BUTOMA at the Muara Commercial Wharf.
The purpose of this visit is in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne.
The ships were greeted upon arrival by officers and personnel of RBN, lead by Commander Spry bin Haji Serudi, Fleet Commander of RBN. The 6-day visit to Brunei Darussalam starts from 12 to 17 October 2017. The Head of Delegation onboard is Rear Admiral Eduard E. Mikhailov, Deputy Commander of the Primorskaya Flotilla of the All-Arms Forces of the Pacific Fleet, Russian Navy.
During the visit the crew will get the opportunity to explore several attractions sites within the country, such as the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum, Brunei Arts and Handicraft Centre, Royal Regalia and and other attraction sites as well as experiencing the local culture and cuisine.
