MUARA, Friday, 13 October 2017 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad received a courtesy call from Rear Admiral Eduard E. Mikhailov, Deputy Commander of the Primorskaya Flotilla of the All-Arms Forces of the Pacific Fleet.
During the call, the Commander of RBN expressed his warm welcome for the goodwill visit of the Task Force of the Russian Pacific Fleet in Brunei Darussalam and friendly defence relations between the two countries. He also added that the Russian Federation Ships (RFS) presence in Brunei Darussalam is important and signifies the warm relationship between the two countries. Rear Admiral Eduard also expressed appreciation to RBN for the hospitality and welcoming the delegation and their ships to Brunei Darussalam.
Both sides discussed to further strengthen bilateral relationship between two navies in the future. This was a great opportunity for both countries to further strengthen bilateral relationships and plan ahead for future activities.
During the visit of RFS in Brunei, Russian Navy will hold professional exchange with RBN to establish interoperability, cooperation and mutual understanding between the two navies.
