Muara, Friday, Nov 04th - The closing ceremony of the Leadership Course for Senior Ranks Acting Petty Officer Series 02/2016 and Advance Marine Mechanic and Weapon (M1) was held at the Naval Training Centre, Muara Naval Base.

The guest of honor was Commander Khairil Bin Hj Abd Rahman, Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Navy. Also present during the ceremony were invited RBN officers, Navy Sergeant Major, Instructors of Training Centre of the Royal Brunei Navy and Training Institute and the Senior Ranks.

A total of 29 participants attended the Senior NCO Leadership Course Series 02/2016 for the rank of acting Petty Officer and 20 total participants for M1 mechanic course, which began on October 30, 2016 until November 04, 2016. For the leadership course it is a mandatory and generic course to Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for the acting Petty Officers in accordance with the structure and career development of RBAF. The course aims to build Petty Officers with the ability and quality in leadership to contribute towards the organization’s operational goals.

The Best Overall Award won by Petty Officer 14407 Rayme bin Mahadi, While Best Marching Award was awarded to Petty Officer 14927 Hairol Azmi bin Hj Metussin. Best Command and task was Petty Officer 15418 Ariffin bin Hasim Best presentation was handed to Petty Officer 15616 Shadan bin Shamsudin and Best Syndicate is held by syndicate 2 of the course.

In the closing speech, the guest of honor urged the participants could benefit from lessons learned during the 5 weeks course as a quality leader. He also thanked the instructors who have ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the course. In addition congratulation speech to participants who successfully complete the course. The guest of honor also hit the gong to mark the completion of courses.
