TUTONG, Thursday, 30 November 2017 – After the handing over ceremony at Kampung Menunggol earlier this month, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) under the “Titian Amal“ completed another milestone as part of their on-going project at Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (KACA) in the Tutong District which began on 19 July 2017.
The Guest of Honour for the ceremony was the Captain Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN as the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the RBAF 56th Anniversary. Also present were President of Persatuan KACA, Dato Paduka Hj Awg Abd Wahid bin Hj Mohd Salleh; former owner of the building, members of the State Legislative Council, Tutong’s District Officer as well as Senior Officers of RBAF and other invitees.
The refurbishment project was fully implemented by the RBAF with sponsorships from Aziz Latif & Company Sdn Bhd, Malai Mashor Companies, Syarikat Nurzarifah, Syarikat Hj Ibrahim and Progressive Cellular. Personnel from the Royal Brunei Air Force, Training Institute RBAF, as well as civilian personnel from the MINDEF made up the workforce in the project. This project took 10 weeks to be completed.
The Guest of Honour presented the Handover Certificate of Titian Amal Project to the Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (KACA) and Certificate of Appreciation to the sponsors.
The last project under “Titian Amal” this year will be the house renovation project at Kampung Junjongan. This project is expected to be completed early next year. With such projects, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces aims to help those in need and to also strengthen their working relationships with other government and private agencies to work together as a community.
