MUARA, Monday, 4 December 2017 – The Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad received an introductory call from the new Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attaché to Brunei Darussalam, Colonel Jose Ricky Albinio Laniog PA.
During the call, the Commander of RBN welcome the Defence Attaché and congratulate him on his new appointment. RBN Commander also expressed appreciation to Republic of Philippines for the port visit by BRP ANDRES BONIFACIO FF-17 in conjunction of Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam last October 2017.
Colonel Jose Ricky Albinio Laniog PA also acknowledged and expressed appreciation on the involvement of RBAF personnel in the International Monitoring Team in Mindanao. The discussions during the courtesy call also touched on development of courses and training between both navies.
Colonel Jose Ricky Albinio Laniog PA became Philippine Defence and Armed Forces Attaché to Brunei Darussalam effective on 30 November 2017, taking over from Colonel Ernest Mark P Rosal.
