SINGAPORE, Tuesday, 30 January 2018 - The 6th International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) Fullerton Forum took place from 28 – 30 January 2018 at the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore. 

The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Hj Muhammad attended the forum. Joining the Commander of RBN to the forum was the Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Colonel Haji Abdul Hadi bin Haji Saim. 
The forum which is also known as the ‘IISS Shangri-La Dialogue Sherpa Meeting’ provides opportunity for key regional security issues to be discussed amongst defence and military officials and non-governmental experts with around 75 delegates from over 20 countries participating in this event. 
The forum opened up with the delivery of the keynote address by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Song Young-moo. The forum also included a special dinner address by the Minister of Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence of Singapore, Mr. Ong Ye Kung. 
During the forum, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy also conducted bilateral meetings with Major General Derek W. Joyce, the Director General International Security Policy, Department of National Defence of Canada and also with Major General Giles Hill, the
Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff, Defence Engagement of the United Kingdom.
The Fullerton Forum was organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in support and in preparation for the 17th IISS Shangri-La Dialogue process which will take place on 1 – 3 June 2018.
