MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 7 October 2016 – A promotion ceremony of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) and Junior NCOs of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel was held at the Senior Rates Mess, Muara Naval Base. Presenting the rank insignias to the 93 RBN Personnel was the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad.
The promoted personnel are as follows: 27 Substantive Petty Officers, 9 Acting Petty Officers, 17 Substantive Leading Hands, 9 Acting Leading Hands, 17 Substantive Able Rates, and 14 Acting Able Rates.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Ustaz Mohd Raffiudin bin Hj Ali, Religious Teacher of RBN.
The promotion was based on the criteria of their active participation in RBN activities, such as religious, welfare, sports events, and most importantly their work discipline and merited performance for excellent service. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat and light refreshments.
Also present during the ceremony were RBN Senior Officers, Officers, RBN personnel and family members of the promoted personnel.
