MUARA, Wednesday, 13 March 2018 – The 8th series of the Command and Staff Course (CSC) Defence Academy RBAF paid a study visit to the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Present to officiate the study visit was Commander Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Chief of Staff RBN at the Naval Training Centre (NTC), RBN Base.
The CSC officers were given a brief presentation by Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, Assistant Chief of Staff Operations on the roles of RBN and were also shown a short video illustrating RBN’s achievements during the last 50 years. The highlight of the study visit was the discussion session where the CSC officers were invited to present questions directly to the Commander of the RBN, First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, giving them the opportunity to gain a better understanding of the RBN.
Following the presentation was a short tour to Jetty Bravo for a ship visit. The CSC officers went on board KDB DARULEHSAN, an 80-meter patrol vessel. They were given a familiarisation tour which covered areas such as the Bridge, Sick Bay and Rigid Hull Inflatable Craft (RHIC).
The 8th Series of the CSC is joined by military officers from Brunei Darussalam, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States of America. Officers from the Royal Brunei Police Force and the Brunei Internal Security Department are also participating in the course.
