BRUNEI-MUARA, Tuesday, 14 April 2020 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) responded to a Search and Rescue (SAR) mission after being reported that four fishermen went missing since Saturday.
The Royal Brunei Airforce (RBAirF) initially located the missing boat at 1040am which then relayed their coordinates to KDB BERKAT who is on Maritime surveillance when they responded to the SAR mission. At 1140am KDB BERKAT reached the boat and found all four fishermen were safe. They were aided with fuel consumption to suffice their way back to shore and provided with fresh food and water.
The Search and Rescue mission ended at 1230H. This distinctly marked the second SAR mission conducted by RBN and the join effort from other agencies.
