BRUNEI-MUARA, Sunday, 29 March 2020 – Three local fishermen were found drifting in the vicinity of Maharaja Lela oilfield was safely rescued by KDB DARULEHSAN early this morning after experiencing engine failure.
KDB DARULEHSAN was on patrol when it received the report of the stranded boat and instantly activated a Search and Rescue mission. The boat were successfully located at 0722H and all three local fishermen were found safe and in good health when rescued.
KDB DARULEHSAN towed the boat back to Brunei bay where it was then handed over to the Marine Police, Royal Brunei Police Force at 0722H this morning. This is the first rescue operation conducted in 2020 by The Royal Brunei Navy with the cooperation of other agencies.
