MUARA, Friday 09 August 2024 – Eight Leading Hand divers from the Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG) attending the Naval Diving Course-Advance (NDC-Advance) ended today with the closing ceremony held at Serasa Watermanship Complex.
Present as the Guest of Honour to present the certificate was Lieutenant Commander Pg Khairul Anwar bin Pg Haji Abu Bakar, Commanding Officer KDB AL-FARUQ. Also in attendance were Commanding Officer of NAVSAG, NAVSAG Officers, NTC officers and instructors.
The NDC-Advanced Course features the first in-house training under the management of the NAVSAG Training School (NAVSAG TS) which is held over the duration of four (4) weeks.
This course is mandatory for NAVSAG personnel for their next promotion to rank Petty Officer. Other than that, it exposed trainees with live deep diving fundamentals theory and practical lessons inclusive of diving supervisory role thus to enhance their command and control. Additionally, the course participants are taught to handle any emergency scenarios during deep dives operations as well as roles of leading the Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) boarding.
