MUARA NAVAL BASE,
Tuesday, 20 December 2022 – HMS TAMAR of the Royal Navy (RN) has departed Muara Naval Base after conducting a logistic port visit to Brunei from 13th December to 19th December 2022 led by Lieutenant Commander Matt Millyard, Executive Officer of HMS TAMAR. In this opportunity, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and RN have also conducted a passage exercise between HMS TAMAR and KDB SYAFAAT on 13th December 2022 prior to her arrival at Muara Naval Base.
During their logistic visit to Brunei, HMS TAMAR conducted several activities with RBN in the form of sports interaction, a cultural visit and participated in RBN's Family Day Open Office on 14th December 2022 where HMS TAMAR was open to RBN personnel and their family members.
This interaction series represents the warm defence and security relations based on historical and traditional links between the United Kingdom and Brunei Darussalam. The RBN reaffirms the warm and friendly ties and reciprocates the commitment to strengthen its historic bilateral relations with RN, enhancing interoperability towards the goal of cooperation at sea and wishes HMS TAMAR a smooth journey to their next port of call.
