MUARA, Monday, 29 March 2021 - The Occupational Health and Safety Supervisory (OHS) Course series 1/2021 was conducted by the Inspectorate Unit of RBAF and the Naval Inspectorate Cell. The closing ceremony was held at Multi-National Coordination Centre (MNCC).
39 Personnel participated the course made up of - 37 personnel from RBN , 1 personnel from Operator TLDB and 1 personnel from Sekolah ugama Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (SUTL).
The three days course, started from 16th to 18th March 2021 consisted of 50% theoretical and 50% practical whereby practical techniques, individual abilities and combined group works were assessed and taught.
The objective of the course is to provide knowledge on the roles and responsibilities of the OHS Supervisor and also to understand the RBAF's OHS Management system and policy. Knowledge on hazard identification and control risk (Risk Assessment and Control Measure) is crucial for every HSE supervisor were also taught. This is to avoid or minimise the risks consequently making hazards less susceptible at their respective departments.
All course participants are expected to apply their knowledge and to implement them at their respective workplace enabling a more healthy and suitable environment for all RBN as well as Civilian personnels to work in.
Present as a guest of honor and convey the certificate to the participants of the course was the RBN Head of Inspectorate Cell representative, Lieutenant Razid bin Haji Awang Lakim, RBN. Also present were Instructor RBAF Inspectorate Unit.
The closing ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mohamed Sofian Bin Haji Abd Hamid. After recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Lieutenant Mohammad Luqman Bin Hj Abd Hamid, spoke on behalf of the course participants whom gave the opening remarks and shared his experience throughout the course. The opening remark was followed by speech from guess of honor to all personnel who is attending the course then a certificate presentation to the course participants by the Guest of Honour.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo session.
