KDB DARULEHSAN RETURNS HOME FROM DEPLOYMENT TO JAPAN

​MUARA NAVAL BASE, Thursday, 17 November 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) welcomed the return of KDB DARULEHSAN at Jetty Bravo, this morning, after completing its 25-day deployment to Japan to attend the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2022 held on 6th November 2022 in Yokosuka, Japan. RBN's participation marked a significant milestone in the development of defence relations between RBN and the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF).

Present at the RBN Jetty to welcome the returning ship as the Guest of Honour was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, Commander RBN. Also present were His Excellency Maeda Toru, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander RBN, Senior Officers, RBN Ships' Commanding Officers, officers, ratings of the RBN and families of the deployed personnel. The arrival of KDB DARULEHSAN was followed with the recital of doa selamat.

The successful conduct of this multilateral event in the post-pandemic environment represents the resilience of each nation's navy and demonstrates their adaptability to the new norm required to achieve continuation and enhancements of defence and naval diplomacy. The Royal Brunei Navy is proud to have successfully achieved this mission and continues to strive to maintain and build upon friendly relations contributing to the peace and stability of the region.
