VIRTUAL BILATERAL MEETING BETWEEN THE COMMANDER OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND THE CHIEF OF THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN NAVY

MUARA, 4th September 2021 – A bilateral meeting between First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy and Vice Admiral Michael Joseph Noonan, the Chief of the Royal Australian Navy was held virtually at the Royal Brunei Navy Headquarters, Muara Naval Base.

During the call, both the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy and the Chief of the Royal Australian Navy highlighted the long-standing ties which both navies share through exercises such as EXERCISE PENGUIN, current engagements through the Indo-Pacific Endeavour 2021 (IPE21) and the potential of expanding the cooperation to other frontiers. The bilateral meeting is a continuation of the established relations between the two navies which the RBN seeks to materialize into a peaceful and stable atmosphere for the region and another step towards achieving RBN's mission of defending the maritime sovereignty and territorial integrity of Brunei Darussalam.
